The Space

Old Town is a fantastic gem along the Potomac River known for its cobblestone streets, gas lanterns, and being the stopping grounds for George Washington. This place oozes charm, relaxation, and romance!

The carriage house itself basically sits in the heart of it all. You are walking distance from numerous restaurants, shopping, historic sites, outdoor activities, and bars.

If you get your fill of Old Town and want to head into the District you can Uber, Metro, or take a cab. Literally a hop, skip, and a jump! The property is about a 15 minute ride to Capitol Hill without traffic. You can also walk about 10 minutes to either King St or Braddock metro stations and be in the city in no time at all!

If you decide you want to get further out into the countryside, we recommend Luray Caverns, Middleburg, or Skyline Drive (Blue Ridge Mountains).

The unit is 200 years old and fairly quiet but you can expect some faint noise from the alley or street.

Please remember that you’re staying in a private residence. Please treat our space with respect. If any problems arise, let us know.

  • Linens, blankets, and towels are not to be removed from the home.
  • Please do not take these items to parks or outdoor venues.
  • We are not liable for any accidents, injuries or illness that occur while on the premises.
  • We are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables during your stay.
  • All guest must have travelers insurance on their own for the duration of their stay.
  • We are not responsible for any items left behind.
  • There will be a shipping and handling fee for returning requested items to you.
  • If you open it, close it; if you borrow it, return it; if you turn it on, turn it off; if you break it, fix it; if you use it, take care of it; if you make a mess, clean it up; if you move it, put it back
  • Please turn off the AC/Heat at the end of your stay
